Darren J. Moll is the Founder + President of AlexPeyton. The name Alex Peyton comes from the names of his two daughters. Alexandra is the oldest daughter and Isabella Peyton is the youngest daughters name. By combining their two names AlexPeyton was formed.
Darren's fondness and curiosity for the Hospitality Industry began at an early age. These day’s regardless if he is working on a simple gathering or a complex event, he is happiest when he is able to share his passion for having fun and seeing others smile from something he has had the opportunity to be a part of, making every event a memorable one!
Darren studied at Johnson & Wales University located in Providence, Rhode Island. After earning an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts & a Bachelor’s Degree in International Hospitality Business, Darren began his exciting journey in the Luxury Hotel Business. He worked in Catering + Events for both the Four Seasons Hotel Company and the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company in North America, Europe & the Middle East.
Upon returning to the United States, he decided to follow his entrepreneurial desire to leave the hotel business and create his own company.
The first entrepreneurial venture was realized by co-founding Zquare Hospitality Company with a college friend. There, they conceptualized the creation of three new restaurant concepts from idea to reality in two years. The company was then sold to pursue other ventures.
He then co-founded Ashton Depot Catering & Events in Dallas, Texas. After eight years and having two young children in Texas, he and his wife decided to relocate back to where they met in Southern California and he sold the company to his partner to pursue other ventures.
Upon return to Southern California, Darren accepted the challenge of completing a project to oversee the acquisition of a large thirty-year old catering business from a single owner, to a global corporate ownership structure. Upon completion, AlexPeyton began.
Darren believes in giving back to the communities he lives and works in. He holds an Executive Board Position with American Cinematheque. Additionally, Darren is active as a Board Member with the Entrepreneur’s Organization, Orange County Chapter.
